从2001年开始，号角唱片MORT PRODUCTIONS作为中国重金属音乐第一家专业厂牌和音乐制作团体，已经走过了5年的里程。而其中出版的《众神复活》系列合辑，见证和推动了中国地下金属音乐势力的成长与发展过程。

在这个摇滚乐降生还不到20年的“古老文明”的国度，以“中国首张地下金属合辑”姿态出现的《众神复活》对于沉寂已久的国内金属音乐乃至整个中国摇滚，无疑是一次有力的冲击。

2001年11月，号角唱片推出了首张中国地下金属乐团合辑《众神复活》，唱片编号MORT 001，收录有冥想之门、窒息、施教日、直线、呕吐、杀戮、六翼天使（北京）、炼狱、腐尸、赤旗、内部腐烂及冥界等十二支中国地下乐团的作品，真实反映当时中国地下金属音乐圈的现状和水准。
