Favorite track: 12 Souls.

rvss.eel Classic Sigh. You'll find yourself easily nodding/headbanging along, while just as often thinking "what the hell is going on here and why do I like it?" Sigh's albums jump all over the place in sound, but this is a rare, clear precursor to what comes immediately after it. And Imaginary Sonicscape is, if I had to chose, the crown jewel of their discography. Whether you agree or not, Hail Horror Hail is essential. Favorite track: Hail Horror Hail.

Shoigunjinsho This is by far one of Sigh's best. The first track, being the album's namesake, comes in ripping and roaring, sending your soul straight to hell. 12 Souls reminds me of Diablo 2 for some reason, and the background chorus synth in Curse of Izanagi made my entire body tingle. I hadn't known of this second CD on this album with the more raw recordings. You can hear some fuck ups here and there, and some synth parts sound totally different AND IM IN LOVE WITH IT. This is Sigh at it's best. Favorite track: Curse of Izanagi.

Dan Hébert This album, and Sigh in general, is an experience. Dizzyingly complex and layered, sensory overload.

about

The second CD(track10-19) contains an unreleased Hail Horror Hail track and a rough mix of the album.

There is a warning on the back of the CD (reproduced on the vinyl) that states:
"Every sound on this album is deliberate and if you find that some parts of the album are strange, it isn't because the music in itself strange, but because your conscious self is ill-equipped to comprehend the sounds produced on this recording."
